- SW# 0 : Half power
- SW # 1 : Fuel Saver
- SW # 2 : Only more fuel and Boost fooling
- SW # 3 : Like # 2 + added timing
- SW # 4 : "Soft" CaTCHER no added timing
- SW # 5 : Like # 4 + added Timing
- SW # 6 : Mild CaTCHER no added timing
- SW # 7 : Like # 6 + added Timing
- SW # 8 : CaTCHER no added timing
- SW # 9 : CaTCHER with Timing
- Software number Zero - About half the power of a stock software. Use it whenever reduced power is desired or when you have to make sure that NO SMOKE is produced.
- Software number One - The Fuel Saver software. Mpg gains vary, in most cases a + 2 MPG has been reported. Please notice that the timing in this software is rather aggressive. HEAVY TOWING is not recommended with this software.
- Software number Two - This software increases the fuel delivered by the ECM and does the boost fooling.
- Software number Three - Same as software # 2 but timing has been added.
- CaTCHER softwares from number Four to number Nine - The even numbered softwares are identical to the odd numbered ones, except for the timing. The softwares without added timing are intended for use with timing adding boxes.
- The power gain at top RPM with these softwares is almost identical. These softwares differ greatly in HOW they get there. Than higher the software number then more aggressive the throttle response from idle speed up. Aggressive to the point that the softwares Eight and Nine can become difficult to handle on slippery roads. Please be very careful when you use these softwares for the first time! It takes some time to learn how to handle them.
2003 - 2007 Dodge Cummins 5.9 L - Fast guide to Smarty's software levels:
- SW # 0 : Half power
- SW # 1 : 30 HP increase, with added timing
- SW # 2 : 60 HP increase, no added timing
- SW # 3 : 60 HP increase, with added timing
- SW # 4 : 90 HP increase, no added timing
- SW # 5 : 90 HP increase, with added timing
- SW # 6 : 160 HP increase, no added timing
- SW # 7 : 160 HP increase, with added timing
- SW # 8 : 210 HP increase, no added timing
- SW # 9 : 210 HP increase, with added timing
- The horsepower settings, except #0, all other softwares have a modified "Torque management" (TQM). The throttle response is greatly improved but is set to a safe limit. With "Safe" Smarty means safe for your tranny and rest of the driveline.
- Tested on stock trucks on Dyno Dinamics Twin Retarder Dyno. Stock means just that. Stock! Even the air filters were stock.
- The trucks were S T O C K, even the wastegate settings! Smarty checked the "baseline" (the stock truck hp at the rear wheels) twice in a day in order to be sure about Smarty findings. The above declared hp numbers are all rounded down to the closest number. For example the 90 hp file actually did 96 hp. That's a 90 hp software for Smarty, not a 100. The 210 hp was 215.
- Power on Demand - 100 power levels selectable in just one second during the driving! It's easy: just type the preferred power level directly on Smarty keyboard, from 00 to 99. That's all! For security reason, the truck waits that the throttle is released before applying the new power level.
- No trace is left in the ECM! - SmartyCR is the FIRST AND ONLY downloader that does not erase any of the stored data in the ECM. Smarty does NOT leave any electronic footprints in the ECM or any other electronic module in the truck. Smarty does NOT set ANY codes once the ECM is set back to stock. Smarty does NOT need to have fuses pulled. No matter what the competition claims, in one way or another they're ALL detectable. Smarty is NOT! Yet, Smarty can not do one thing for you. Fix what others have broken. Smarty can not restore a key on counter that another downloader has erased. Smarty can not fix VIN# troubles caused by other products. If your Check engine / ABS light is on because another product has screwed your ECM, Smarty can not fix it, the other guy HAS to.

- DTC Code reader - The name says it all. You can read and erase codes. Codes are displayed also in plain English. That's old news by now. Smarty S-03 was the first one to provide that utility, others found the idea to be a good one too. (Smarty does erase ABS codes too but does not display them)

- SW # 0 : Half power
- SW # 1 : 30 HP increase, with added timing
- SW # 2 : 60 HP increase, no added timing ***
- SW # 3 : 60 HP increase, with added timing
- SW # 4 : 90 HP increase, no added timing ***
- SW # 5 : 90 HP increase, with added timing
- SW # 6 : 130 HP increase, no added timing ***
- SW # 7 : 130 HP increase, with added timing

- °°° Do not use for prolonged high speed runs! Speeds exceeding approx 105 MPH can result in high exhaust gas temperatures and damage the Diesel Particulate Filter (DPF)!!!
- *** All even numbered softwares (2-4-6-8) without timing are to be used for stacking with other after market power adding devices that also add their own timing. NO additional timing has to be used with the odd numbered softwares (1-3-5-7-9).

CaTCHER Software:
- CaTCHER stands for Clutch and Traction Challenger
- It improves throttle response of the engine greatly. It spools up the turbo sooner. (On average 200 RPM sooner.) It deals with the injection timing. It alters the torque management.
CATCHER versions With and WithOut Added Timing:
- The softwares without added timing are useful if you want to use a timing box stacked with the CaTCHER.
Smarty Touch VIN License:
- The Smarty Touch works off licenses. The Smarty Touch includes a single license which is good for 1 truck/ECM. After being used on the first truck, a new license will need to be purchased for each truck and/or ECM that you would like to install the tuner onto. Licenses are $150 each. You can have up to 3 additional licenses installed, for a total of 4 licenses on 1 device. These different licenses can be used at the same time one does not have to go back to stock first before using on another truck, so it is now possible to tune up to four different trucks at the same time with a single Smarty Touch.
- The Smarty Touch needs to be plugged into the OBDII port of the truck to program or change levels but then can be unplugged. You can choose to leave the Smarty Touch plugged in and mounted if you would like to use it for gauges.
- For customers that had a previous Smarty Touch Tuner on their truck and the Smarty Touch was lost/broke/stolen, then yes you can purchase this new Smarty Touch and program your truck without an issue
Cummins Truck Transmission Swap:
- This Smarty Touch can be used to update the Cummins Truck/ECM for a transmission swap (Manual to Automatic) or (Automatic to Manual). The Cummins Truck must be a supported truck model for this Smarty Touch. The Smarty recovery file is required and can be purchased for $150.
